Watch whales playing from your deck, whales are most likely to be seen July to October. Bring your own rod or organise a fishing trip locally. Snorkelling perhaps the main reason to visit Aitutaki, view the unbelievable amount colourful tropical fish from the beach upon your doorstep. Scuba diving (see links) - unbelievable diving maybe you'll be luck and see a giant turtle Lagoon cruise - take a day trip into the lagoon and enjoy the uninhabited islands (mutu) and perhaps the best snorkelling in the world (pack that sun tan lotion) Take an easy hike up the small mountain/large hill Maungapu and take in the views around the island. Hire a scooter and take an easy cruise around the island. Enjoying cultural music and dancing at an Island night in one of the local bar/restaurants (every night except Sun and Thurs) Browsing shops, stalls at the Arutanga wharf market Check out a church service to truly appreciate the Cook Island vocals. Sit on the beach or the deck with a good book and a cold beer.
